Teach Sunday School - Pre-Planned Bible Lessons for Busy Sunday School Teachers & Christian Parents

Teach Kids to Make Godly Choices in a Fallen World...

We live in a complex world … a world where kids see poor decisions being made each day.

So how can we show them God’s way?

How can we teach them to make good, Godly decisions even in the most difficult circumstances?

The answer: practice.

We firmly believe that the best way to prepare children to make Godly choices, is to practice confronting real, everyday challenges in a safe environment.

In an effort to help more kids learn Godly decision-making, we have created a new lesson pack entitled Faith in Action.

Introducing...

Inside you’ll find 12 lessons that show children how to apply Biblical wisdom to make the right choice when faced with a hard choice.

Lesson Topics:

  • Courage

  • Humility

  • Generosity

  • Acceptance

  • Respect

  • Truthfulness

  • Persistance

  • Empathy

  • Gentleness

  • Gossiping

  • Bravery

  • Listening

Each lesson presents a situation that kids are likely to face as they grow up and lets them know exactly what God expects of them.

As the Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 (NLT) –

“Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.”

The goal of this lesson pack is to show children the right path when the going gets tough.

The Real Secret to Raising
Good Decision Makers …

Difficult decisions that kids make as they grow and become young adults can dictate what type of people they become and how they ultimately choose to live their lives.

The decisions can have more immediate effects as well. For example, the decisions they make can determine how they feel about themselves and how they interact with others.

In many instances, popular culture and peer pressure want to make the decisions for kids – from what they wear, to what they eat and drink, to what they watch.

By getting kids to focus on God’s teachings they can learn to resist the pull of the world and instead live their lives in a manner that is pleasing to God.

As it says in Romans 12:2 (ESV) –

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Here’s What’s Inside Each Lesson:

  • Scenario

The foundation of each lesson includes a true-to-life scenario of a child facing a common dilemma where they must make an important choice.

  • 4 Choices

Following the scenario, kids will be presented with 4 choices and they will need to select what the best choice is.  There is always a best choice, based on Biblical principles, conscience, and the voice of the Holy Spirit.

  • 3 Bible Lookups

As kids try to determine the best choice, they are asked to look-up 3 Bible verses for guidance.

  • Mini-Lesson & Choice Reveal

We provide you a “teaching script” for this companion lesson, wherein the Biblical principles are discussed as to how they relate to the scenario.  We provide an explanation as to which choice was best and why the others were not as good.

  • Scripture Cards

There are six scriptures that support the correct choice, and they can be used in a couple of different ways. We provide several options as to how to integrate these into your lesson and discussion based on the age & size of your group.

  • Printable Worksheet

Each lesson includes a companion worksheet that furthers scripture knowledge or reinforces the message, including crossword puzzles, mazes, word searches, cryptograms, and more. You can use them in class or send them home for a mid-week recharge.

The Lessons Can be Used in a Number of Ways:

Our "Faith in Action" lessons were designed to be used in conjunction with any other Bible teaching you have scheduled or planned.

These do not compete or interfere, but instead provide real-world insights into how the Bible's teachings very much apply to the day to day life of modern kids.

Here are just a few ways you can integrate these lessons into your calendar:

  • 1

    1 Lesson Per Month

You can teach one scenario a month and cover all 12 in a year.

  • 2

2 Lessons Per Class (6 Week Study)

You can teach them over a six-week timeframe, covering two scenarios per class.

  • 3

1 Lesson Per Class (12 Week Study)

You can teach them over a 12-week timeframe.

  • 4

    Send Home Lessons

You can send an entire lesson home to absentee students, as the scenarios give read-only ease to the lessons, and parents can help their children with the lookups

Here is Just Some of What Kids Will Learn from This Lesson Pack:

  • How to choose courage over fear when they see an unfairness that could hurt others
  • How to feel joy in helping others look good or succeed
  • How to develop a “sharing heart” and how this way of living can lead to even greater things for them
  • How to be welcoming and support diversity even when others are doing the opposite
  • How to eliminate disrespectful thoughts and instead show the proper respect to others who are looking out for them
  • How to tell the truth even when telling a lie would be so much easier
  • How to find the strength to continue in the face of adversity
  • How to be empathetic instead of judgmental of others
  • How to bring peace to a bad situation with a “soft answer” – just like Jesus did!
  • Why gossip can be so painful to the people being discussed and how to “turn the other cheek” and avoid participating in it all together
  • Why, if there is any safe way to help a person in need, we are called to do it

Learning to Make Good Decisions
is a Process

By getting more familiar with the Bible and with how God expects us to act in certain situations, children can better prepare themselves to make the right decision when faced with difficult circumstances.

So many times kids have nothing to fall back on and they decide to go along with peer pressure or they make a decision they believe is in their best interests but it really isn’t.

This lesson pack shows kids what to do in 12 very specific, very common instances. They can then use this foundation to help ensure they make Godly decisions when faced with other hard choices.

Yes, life is certainly not easy but lucky for us we have a God who has promised to always be with us. As is says in Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

By learning to rely on God now, children can avoid making bad decisions that have a lasting negative impact on their lives.

Help your students learn to put faith in action and make better decisions by getting this lesson pack now.
